The Most Diverse Election in US History

According to the NY Times, for the first time in history, there will be at least 100 women in the House of Representatives. There were a lot of firsts this election, which is to be celebrated! Out of the 964 candidates up for election last night, 272 were women and 216 were black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American or multiracial. Pictured here is Ilhan Omar, the first Somali-American in Congress, representing Minnesota.
