Village in Panama made out of plastic bottles is spreading awareness

Over 60,000 empty plastic water and soda bottles make up a castle in Panama thanks to 69 year old Robert Bezeau from Montreal. When he arrived in Panama 10 years ago he saw plastic everywhere. He decided to step up and lead clean up initiatives, which ultimately led to the creation of his castle-dungeon theme park. Along with his friends, Robert built Plastic Bottle Village, which includes The Dungeon. And guess what?! You can spend a night there! The actual castle has two guest rooms and theres also a royal suite that can accommodate up to 12 people.

You might be wondering why they call a part of the village the Dungeon. That’s because inside there is a jail that has 10,000 plastic bottles. People visit and sit inside, thinking about how single use plastics affect our planet, which is just what Robert wants. To him, it’s important that the village also serves as a place to educate visitors about the damage plastic bottles cause to our environment.
