The first class of pediatricians just graduated from Central African Republic

This past May, the first ever class of pediatricians graduated from Central African Republics only medical school, The University of Bangui. The country has experienced a humanitarian crisis since 203, which has left a negative impact on education.  Many schools are not operational and enrollment rates have declined.

The only pediatric hospital in the country just opened a new multimillion dollar wing for malnutrition. This doubles the number of beds and gives clean rooms with mosquito nets. What’s even better is that the treatment provided is free.
