Holiday Inn is getting rid of mini toiletries to reduce plastic waste

InterContinental Hotels Group announced they’ll be switching to bulk dispensers, refillable bottles by the end of 2021. The hotel group is comprised of Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and intercontinental chains. 1/3 of the hotels have already successfully made the switch.

They use about 200 million bathroom miniatures a year. The mini bottles have been a staple in the hotel industry for years but now everyone is worried about the plastic waste so the industry has no choice but to shift with the times.
