Dasani is testing a new water machine to help reduce plastic waste. 100 new machines, called PureFill, are being rolled out across the US.  Dasani has become the best-selling water in the US and the company has decided to take responsibility for their contribution to plastic waste. 

So what does this machine do?

It dispenses water (or seltzer) through it, all you need to do is bring your own bottle. While strategizing ways to reduce plastic waste, Dasani also chose the idea of selling water in aluminum cans. The water company will begin doing that in the Northeast to start but will expand to other regions next year. Dasani originally began testing the machine in 2017 at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  According to the company’s latest announcement, Dasani does not plan to eliminate single-use bottles, yet.
