Worlds first washing machine with built in micro fiber filter has arrived

In one study, an acrylic sweater shed 700,000 fibers each time it was washed. What happens to all those micro fibers? They then get into our water system and have also been found in fish. Arcelik, one of the worlds largest home appliance companies has announced a new washing machine with built in filtration system preventing synthetic micro fibers from escaping into the city’s water system.

Arcelik is widely sold throughout Europe with headquarters in Turkey. The company really cares about their impact on the environment. They also sell a biodegradable fridge that’s made out of “bioplastic”. Their latest washing machine development is the first of its kind.
