Bethenny Frankel is Donating 1 million masks to help fight coronavirus

When former Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel sees a situation that calls for help, she steps up to the occasion. From the hurricane in Puerto Rico to California wildfires, her disaster relief organization BStrong has stepped up to make a difference. The coronavirus is the latest situation our entire world is facing, and as always, Bethenny is stepping up to the plate. Bstrong is sourcing masks from around the world and collaborating with Global Empowerment Mission to get them distributed in hospitals and clinics around the US. As of today, 120,000 masks have been ordered with over 500,000 in the process of being ordered next (this includes hospital gowns as well). Aside from sourcing masks, the organization is also putting together Corona Kits, as they are referred to on her website, include hand sanitizer, hydration kit, medical recommendations, tote bag, gloves and immune boosters.

Bstrong is currently manufacturing the kits out of their Miami headquarters and have 20,000 on their assembly line. When Bethenny’s friend Ellen DeGeneres found out, she decided to donate along with Shutterfly to help cover the costs. Katie Couric is another celebrity that Bethenny announced has also made a considerable donation to Bstrong. The organization is still accepting donations, as well as working with hospitals that are in dire need of masks, to make sure the masks are distributed to them first. If you work at a hospital or clinic and are in need of masks, reach out to BStrong to get them sent directly to you. New York State Governor Cuomo has already reached out to Bethenny to get masks distributed.

Bethenny wrote on Instagram:

“#BeStrong has now committed to 150k+ masks to be distributed to Mass. General, UCLA, Cedars Sinai, Mt. Sinai, NYU, Newton Wellesley, and more hospitals all over the country - this is because of YOU! Thousands of dollars are coming in by the minute and we need to keep it going! Our healthcare workers cannot protect themselves and need support,”

“Also, FEMA just said that if hospitals want to source masks that they can get reimbursed by FEMA,” she said. “So, hospitals, come to us. We have masks, we are manufacturing them by the minute and then you can get reimbursed.”
