More clean energy was produced than coal for first time ever

New data released this week proved what we already know. There’s a clean energy shift going on. For the first time ever, more clean energy supplied electricity than coal.

There were 68.5 million megawatt hours of power  generated thanks to hydroelectric dams, solar panels and wind turbines. Coal energy only produced 60 million. Thanks to the cheap cost of building clean energy, there’s more solar and wind farms than ever before.
