The worlds first solar pavement just got installed in a driveway
Platio is the tech company behind the worlds first solar pavement for households. Based in Budapest, Hungary, they just installed the first solar pavement on a driveway and its also made out of recycled PET plastic bottles. The company found the bottles to be more durable than concrete.
The solar pavement can be installed on driveways, paths, patios or terraces. Not only is it walkable, but it can withstand the weight of cars. The solar pavement can also be used to charge electric cars. This is what a green future looks like! Hopefully this will be available in the US sometime in the near future.
