Headspace launched an empathetic AI Chatbot
Headspace has a new AI chatbot that is empathetic and their name is Ebb. They can help you unpack relationship challenges, work stress sleep issues and recommend personalized meditations and activities. The recommendations depend on what you share with Ebb. Look at them like a friend, here to listen to you when you’re going through life’s ups and downs.
How does Ebb work? Built into the Headspace app, the AI was trained by clinical psychologists and data scientists using motivational interviewing. Ebb does not give mental health advice, guidance or diagnoses Based on the feelings a user shares, Ebb will provide the national Crisis hotline number for anyone who is at risk of immediate harm. Is Ebb free? No.
You can get access to Ebb for free, just for the first 14 days. After that, you have either a monthly or annual subscription option. You basically get 50% off by signing up for the annual, which is $69.99. Otherwise, the monthly option costs $12.99 per month. Sometimes we feel like there is no one to talk to, but Headspace essentially created this as a reminder that you are not alone.
