For 25 years, women have been feeding migrants that pass by on trains
For the last 25 years, women in Mexico have been feeding the hundreds of migrants from Central America passing by on train. The women call themselves Las Patronas and have helped thousands of Central American migrants. Twice a day the women stand at the tracks passing food and water to those traveling on the infamous train called the Beast. A few years ago, the charitable organization won Mexico’s human rights prize. Not only do these women give food, but they also offer hope to the humans risking their lives.
