Texas Teen becomes a model after story of hair discrimination goes viral
When 17 year old Kerion Washington was denied a summer job at Six Flags for his locs, his story made headlines across the US. Well guess what happened next. Kerion got picked up by a local Texas modeling agency! Then the head of development at IMG models coincidentally came across Kerion’s Instagram page and sent him a DM. Once Kerion gets more experience, he will have a follow up with IMG and may get a deal with them. Despite the discrimination Kerion faced, he was able to look past it and something good came out of this for him. Don’t you just love stories like this?
