There’s a double meteor shower tonight and here’s how to watch it
Depending on where you are and the weather conditions, you can catch two meteor showers tonight. It’s anticipated you’ll see about 25 meteors per hour thanks to the southern Delta Aquariids and alpha Capricornids. If you’re on either coast in the US or away from big city lights, you should be able to see the shooting stars. The best time is after midnight and before dawn, local time.
You may have seen some shooting stars recently since it’s been going on for a couple weeks now. To get the best view, grab a blanket and lay flat on your back looking up.
Next month our skies will see the annual Perseid meteor shower, peaking on August 13.
