Amazon Is Selling A Tiny Home Kit That Costs Less Than $8k
Amazon announced today it will start selling a tiny home kit that costs $7,250 and can be put together in 8 hours. The structure is only intended for backyard use or other functions like a home office or yoga studio according to its vendor Allwood. The home does not include a bathroom and only needs two people to be put together.
All 172 square feet of the home is not meant to be a real home. You can transform it into one though, at an additional cost of course. That means you would have to get your own electricity and plumbing installed, which will cost thousands more. The company also says the home won’t last if there were a hurricane or any other major disaster. You can actually find quite a few of Allwood homes for sale on Amazon. Each has different features and of course, a different price. All in all, it is cheaper than a traditional home and possibly hinting at the future of “real estate” as we know it.
