Homeless Man Gets Good Karma After Returning $10k Check

Meet Elmer. He was living on the streets of Connecticut when he found a $10k check. 

What should he do with it?

“Do the right thing. Just look for the person and just return the cheque,” he said. 

The check belonged to Roberta, who is a realtor in Connecticut. After she got the check back and found out Elmer was homeless , Roberta decided to give back to him. She says she was once homeless herself and that she had to pay it forward. 

Roberta gave Elmer career counseling, a scholarship to real estate school and a job interview. The best gift of all? She found housing for Elmer so he did not have to spend the winter sleeping on the cold streets of Connecticut.
