St. Louis mother feeds hungry children in her neighborhood

A St. Louis mother of 6 is on a mission to feed all the hungry children in her neighborhood. Her name is Champale Anderson and she’s been doing it for 5 years. In school days, she told Fox News that she has an open door policy for kids in her community. Before school they can knock on her door for breakfast and after school they can knock to get lunch. She hands them a bag and they never know what they’re getting. The bags typically include peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cookies, fruit, vegetables, juice, snacks and a few surprises.

“I noticed the kids they are always hungry. They get off the bus and they take off running and they never know what I will have in the bag. I switch up and have special treats for my special babies,” the mother told Fox News.

After her story circulated the internet, a go fund me page she set up at the end of August reached over $65,000.
