After facing homelessness, 17 year old gets accepted into 17 colleges
Here’s some good news amidst the huge college scam the US is talking about. 17 year old Dylan Chidick was homeless, his mother lost her job and his twin brothers had heart conditions. This week, Dylan found out that he was accepted to 17 colleges. Despite living in a shelter, Dylan was still able to become an honors student and took advanced placement classes. Eventually, Jersey City organization Women Rising, helped Dylan and his family find a permanent place to live. Despite everything Dylan has gone through, he has learned to not let anything stop him from going after what he wants.
“It taught me to be persistent, just because you hear ‘no” once doesn’t mean you are going to hear ‘no’ again.”
