Family in NYC has served over 16,000 miles since lockdown started

When Luca Di Pietro had to close his restaurants around NYC, he was sad to let most of his staff go. That was until him and his family were inspired by a family friend in Toronto who called and said she wanted to place an order to have it sent to first responders. It sounded like a win win situation, it would keep his business going while also giving back to those working on the frontline. That’s when Feed The Frontlines was born.

The Di Pietro family has helped prepare and deliver free meals in New York to first responders. Luca Di Pietro who owns Taralluci e Vino restaurant group with 5 restaurants in NYC. The goal is to keep their staff employed while feeding healthcare professionals. So far, thanks to kind citizens who have contributed to make this possible, Di Pietro was able to hire back 30 of his employees.
