Crime rates worldwide see sharp decline since lockdown

There have been some good stories coming out of lockdown. A drop in crime rates is just one of them. Chicago has seen a very sharp decline, with drug arrests dropping 42% since lockdown began . NYC is also experiencing double digit decrease in crime. Overall crime in Chicago has declined 10% this past month. El Salvador has also seen a sharp decrease in crime, with daily killings going from the hundreds to just 2 a day. Crime levels in Peru dropped 84% last month. Serious assault cases in South Africa went from 2,673 to 456.
