Sikh volunteers in Australia cook and deliver thousand meals a day to those in need

In Melbourne, Australia, Sikh volunteers have stepped up to help those in their community that are struggling. Not only do they cook the meals, but they also deliver them, for free. The meals are delivered to the elderly and disabled. The organization has received overwhelming support from their community and are currently averaging around 1,000 meals a day. Hundreds of volunteers gather in the kitchen every day to cook the meals before they get delivered. Originally the service was supposed to last for two weeks, but due to overwhelming demand, it has since been extended.
