99 year old veteran raises over $30 million for Britain’s healthcare system
His original target was to walk around his garden 100 times before his 100th birthday on April 30th. Captain Tom Moore wanted to raise money for Britain’s National Health Service. He set up a fund raising page and his 16 year old grandson Benji set up a Twitter account for him. (He even has a Tik Tok now)His original target may have been £1,000 but he has since raised over £25 million!
He has been getting support from around the world, including from Prince Harry himself. People have continued donate and even though his campaign was supposed to end on the 17th, he has decided it will continue. As long as people are donating of course. Tom will be a guest of honor (virtually) in the opening of the new NHS nightingale hospital in Harrogate.
