Illinois mom creates device so her kids can safely hug their grandma

An Illinois grandmother didn’t see her great grandkids for a couple of months because they wanted to keep her safe. Her grand daughter Carly realized how much her kids missed hugging their grandma and had to do something about it. Using some PVC pipes, a window insulator kit and duct tape, she was able to create a device she calls hug time. 

This device allows her kids, and her, to safely hug their grandmother without fear of possibly giving her any germs. Now her hug time device has made its way around the internet. 

The Illinois mom told CBS:

“I was getting to the point of oh my gosh I can’t handle this,” Marinaro said. “I need to hug her. The kids need to hug her. So it was just so worth it.”
